Ravi P. Agarwal (born July 10, 1947) is an Indian mathematician, Ph.D. He is currently working as a chair of the Department of Mathematics at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. He has published 42 research monographs and more than 1,500 publications (with almost 500 mathematicians all over the world) in prestigious national and international mathematics journals. Dr.Ravi P Agarwal during 1980-81, he was awarded most respected Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation Fellowship to work with Prof. Dr. G. Hammerlin at der Ludwig – Maximilians Universitat, Munchen, Germany, and during (1981-82) he worked as a Visiting Professor with Prof. Roberto Conti, Instituto Matematico, and Firenze, Italy. Dr. Ioannidis studied medicine in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and graduated at 2005. He received his MSC in “Medical Research Methodology” in 2008 from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and in “Surgery of Liver, Biliary Tree and Pancreas” from the Democritus University of Thrace in 2016. Professor Razin is a world-leading scientist in the field of mast cell biology. His first major contribution was over 30 years ago, when he developed a cultured mouse bone marrow-derived mast cell model. This system changed mast cell research and is still one of the main tools for studying mast cell function. I am Ellani Huilar, people call me “Doc Yani”, and I am currently a senior resident in the Department of Internal Medicine in St. Luke’s Medical Center, Global City, Philippines. I would like to submit this case report for these reasons: first to set an awareness and share the clinical management of our patient; second, I would also want to gain wisdom from the experts all around the world regarding new innovations with regards to Infectious Diseases. Dr. Khushboo Borah Slater graduated as an engineer in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati India in 2013. then moved to the UK to pursue my research career. I secured a DPhil in Plant Sciences from the University of Oxford in 2018. During my DPhil, I worked on profiling carbon metabolism of Rhizobia that fuelled nitrogen-fixation in legume plants and gained expertise in metabolic modelling, 13C-Metabolic Flux Analysis, untargeted mass spectrometry, 13C-isotopic tracing and biochemical studies. In 2016, Khushboo Borah Slater joined the University of Surrey as a Research Fellow in the School of Biosciences and Medicine to work on Tuberculosis (TB) and Leprosy. Khushboo Borah Slater used 13C,15N and 2H isotopic labelling, metabolic modelling and metabolomics to study host-pathogen metabolic interactions. During 2019-2020, I developed a LC-MS/MS-based metabolomics to quantify compartment-specific oxysterol metabolism in mitochondria of primary immune cells. I am currently working with Prof McFadden's group to develop diagnostics for infectious diseases and in Nitrogen metabolism of Mycobacterium tuberculosis to identify novel drug targets to treat TB.

Raffaele Pilla, Pharm.D., Ph.D., Doctor Europaeus, received his Master’s degree in Pharmacy at G. d’Annunzio University in Chieti-Pescara, Italy in 2005, where he also served internships at the Cell Physiology Laboratory and Molecular Biology Laboratory. Prior to his degree, he was an Erasmus Student at Faculté de Pharmacie de Reims in Reims, France. He received his Doctor Europaeus in 2010 from Pitié-Salpétrière Institute in Paris, France. Also in 2010, he received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Physiology, and Pathology of Muscle at G. d’Annunzio University in Chieti-Pescara, Italy. He was hired as a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of South Florida in Tampa, on two research grants respectively funded by the Office of Naval Research (US Navy) and Divers’ Alert Network. He has written and lectured widely on his experiences. Dr. Pilla has been involved in ongoing research at the University of South Florida with the use of ketone esters. The initial work, funded by the Office of Naval Research, focused on using ketone esters to prevent CNS oxygen toxicity. Dr. Pilla is working to coordinate efforts in the United States and Italy to expand the ketone ester research to otherconditions such as epilepsy and cancer and its use as an alternative metabolic fuel. Dr. Pilla has also served extensively in various international medical missions, orphan and homeless programs, emergency medicine rescue and training, and animal rescue and fostering. He is fluent in Italian, English, French, and Spanish. He has a special interest in journalism and photography, and he enjoys sailing, SCUBA diving, ultralight airplane piloting, soccer, volleyball, jogging, and motorcycles.

Ivan V Maksimovich is a Member of ISTAART, ESC, EAPCI, WSO, ESO and EPA. He is the Head Physician of Clinic of Cardiovascular Diseases named after Most Holy John Tobolsky (Moscow, Russia) since 1993. One of the major problems the clinic deals with is the diagnosis and treatment of various brain lesions including Alzheimer's disease. Luis Augusto Piedra O'Farrill is a researcher of the Institute of Tropical Medicine Pedro Kouri (IPK) in Havana, Cuba. He started working as a manufacturing pharmacist in the Research and Development Laboratory (R&D) at the Pharmaceutical Lab of Beta-lactam Antibiotics in 2012. In this company, he contributed to the formulation and development of solid oral dosage forms (capsules and powders or granules for oral suspensions) for 2 years (2012-2014). After that, he joined the Vector Control Department of the IPK as a researcher in 2014, specifically in the Research Group on Insecticide Resistance Genetics in Aedes mosquitoes, led by the outstanding Prof. Juan Andrés Bisset, PhD. His main research lines in medical entomology have been metabolic resistance mechanisms, the genetics of resistance to insecticides and the molecular diagnosis of viruses (dengue, Zika and chikungunya) in Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes. He has participated in several national and international projects related to the subject, publishing 9 scientific articles. He actively and intensely participated in the molecular diagnosis of samples from patients with COVID-19 during the pandemic that hit Cuba and the world from 2020 to the end of 2021. His career in this prestigious institution has been highlighted by the presentation of scientific papers and conferences at international (10) and national (3) events. From the teaching perspective, I have attended different national (15) and international (2) postgraduate courses, where the Master's Degree in Medicine Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance of the Institute of Pharmacy and Food of the University of Havana, Cuba and the Center for Research for the Control of Zoonoses at the University of Hokkaido, Japan on the Molecular Diagnosis of Viruses in Mosquitoes and Ticks in 2019.

Ester Forer M.D. has been a resident for the past five years in the Pediatric Division of Soroka Health Care Medical Center affiliated with the Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Beer-Sheva, Israel. During this time, she has published several articles dealing with various aspects of Paediatrics. In addition, she has taught medical students. She also took part in various conventions and projects dealing with innovation in medicine.
